Product details
The GTGUARD ClearView C210 is a 26 g thermal imager that plugs into an Android phone over USB-C. It uses a 256×192 infrared sensor with super-resolution processing to 512×384, and it is designed for seeing heat signatures in darkness, smoke and bad weather.

- 256×192 sensor with 512×384 super-resolution output
- ≤40 mK sensitivity and 8× zoom
- 26 g and pocket-sized
- Picture-in-picture and selectable crosshair cursor
- USB-C, Android

What the specs mean in practice
Observation first. The C210 is built around seeing heat signatures: people, animals, vehicles and warm objects against a cooler background. Its strengths are sensitivity, zoom and a crosshair that you can lock or move.
Super-resolution. The sensor is 256×192. Super-resolution processing reduces noise, sharpens edges and boosts brightness and contrast, and outputs a 512×384 picture on your phone.
Zoom and picture-in-picture. 8× zoom brings distant subjects closer. Picture-in-picture lets you keep a wide view while you study a detail.
What you can use it for
- Animal observation: find wildlife and pets in the dark.
- Outdoor exploration: night walks and camping.
- Search and rescue support: look for people in low visibility.
- Security patrols: scan grounds and perimeters.
Who should look elsewhere
- Your main goal is detailed inspection and temperature measurement. The Thermal Master P3 or a handheld camera suits that work better.
- You use an iPhone.
How it compares
- NOYAFA NF-588E: a 10 mm lens with a narrow 17.5° × 13.2° view for more reach.
- GTGUARD AI15: a standalone monocular with a built-in display and 12-hour battery.
Tips for better results
- Scan slowly. Heat signatures are easiest to pick out once sun-warmed surfaces have cooled, so dusk and pre-dawn work best.
- Glass blocks thermal imaging, so you cannot view through a windshield or window.
- Fog and heavy rain shorten effective range.
- Never point it at the sun or another intense heat source.
Frequently asked questions
What does super-resolution do?
It improves noise, edge sharpness, brightness and contrast, and outputs a 512×384 picture from the 256×192 sensor.
Can it see in complete darkness?
Yes. It detects heat, not light, so it works in total darkness, through smoke and in poor weather.
Does it need its own battery?
No. It powers from the connected phone.
Does it work with an iPhone?
No. This model is for Android phones with USB-C.
Is it good for building inspections?
It can show large heat patterns, but it is designed for observation. A handheld thermal camera is better for measurement work.
