Product details
The ANENG PN107 is a compact digital clamp meter that measures AC current up to 600 A without breaking the circuit. It also reads AC and DC voltage up to 600 V, resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature, and adds non-contact voltage detection, a backlit display and a built-in flashlight.
At a glance
- 600 A AC clamp and 600 V AC/DC voltage
- 4,000-count backlit display
- Resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature
- Audible continuity, diode and non-contact voltage (NCV) tests
- CAT II 600 V rating, flashlight, data hold
Full specifications
- Display: 4,000-count LCD with backlight
- AC/DC voltage: up to 600 V
- AC current: up to 600 A (clamp)
- Other measurements: resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature
- Tests: audible continuity, diode, non-contact voltage (NCV)
- Convenience: data hold, flashlight, auto power-off after 15 minutes
- Safety rating: CAT II 600 V
- Size: about 194 × 50 × 30 mm
What the specs mean in practice
The clamp. The jaws measure current through a single conductor without cutting or disconnecting it. That is quicker and safer than breaking the circuit, and it lets you check a load while it is running.
4,000 counts. The display resolves readings in fine steps across each range, which is plenty for household, appliance and light-commercial checks.
CAT II 600 V. This rating suits outlet and appliance-level circuits. Work on main panels or service entrances calls for a higher category rating.
What you can use it for
- Home and DIY: test outlets, appliances, lighting circuits and batteries.
- Electricians: a light backup meter that fits a tool bag.
- Fault finding: check how much current a hot connection is carrying.
- Pairing with a thermal camera: a thermal camera finds the hot spot and the clamp meter shows the load behind it.
Who should look elsewhere
- You work on main panels or service entrances.
- You need insulation testing. See the ZOYI ZT-1000R.
- You need a thermal camera. This is an electrical tester, not an imaging tool.
How it compares
- ZOYI ZT-1000R: a True-RMS multimeter with a 1,000 V insulation tester, but no clamp.
Tips for safe, accurate use
- Clamp around one conductor only. Around a whole cable with live and neutral together, the fields cancel and the reading is near zero.
- Check the meter on a known live source before and after you test a circuit that should be dead.
- Treat NCV as a quick warning, not a substitute for a proper voltage measurement.
- Never exceed the meter's voltage or category rating.
Frequently asked questions
What is a clamp meter for?
The jaws measure current through a wire without cutting or disconnecting it, which is quicker and safer than breaking the circuit.
What does NCV do?
Non-contact voltage detection signals when a wire or outlet is live without touching the metal.
Does it work with a thermal camera?
They complement each other. A thermal camera finds the hot connection, and the clamp meter shows how much current is flowing through it.
What current range does the clamp cover?
AC current up to 600 A. DC current is not listed among its specifications.
Does it switch off by itself?
Yes. It powers off automatically after 15 minutes.
